ApplyKit ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ApplyKit you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email, and authentication details when you sign up.
- Resume data: the content you enter or upload — education, experience, projects, skills, certifications, and achievements.
- Job descriptions: any JD text you paste for AI tailoring or ATS analysis.
- Subscription & payment information: plan, status, order IDs, and payment confirmations processed through our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store full card numbers or banking credentials.
- Usage data: basic logs needed to operate the service securely (e.g., feature usage counts).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate, store, and let you download your resumes.
- To process resume content with AI models for tailoring, ATS scoring, and keyword analysis.
- To manage subscriptions, billing, and access to premium features.
- To secure the service and prevent abuse.
Your resume content and job descriptions are used only to provide resume optimization services to you. We do not sell your data or use your resume content to train third-party models.
3. AI Processing
AI tailoring sends the relevant resume sections and the job description to trusted AI providers strictly to generate the output you requested. Prompts and outputs are not used for advertising.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), authenticated APIs, and row-level security on stored data so that only you can access your resumes.
5. Your Rights
- Access, edit, or delete your resumes at any time from the dashboard.
- Request account deletion by emailing support.
- Cancel your subscription at any time.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and resume data while your account is active. After deletion, content is removed from active systems within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or accounting reasons.
